The Korean Folk Village or Everland?

Yongin's two bases are built around two different days out, and both parks open at 10:00 in VisitKorea's listings. Giheung puts you by the Korean Folk Village and its Joseon-era houses; Pogok puts you by Everland, at the end of the EverLine. Here is how to choose.

The verdict

For a first visit, traditional culture, an Incheon Airport arrival or a trip that goes on to Suwon, choose Giheung and the Korean Folk Village: the A8877 and the late-night N8877 both end at the village, Seoul buses 5001-1, 1560 and 4101 run there, and buses 37 and 10-5 link it with Sanggal and Suwon stations. For rides, the safari, gardens and a water park, choose Everland and Pogok: the EverLine's final stop has a free shuttle to Everland and the water park next to it, and the Hoam Museum of Art and Dae Jang Geum Park fill a second day. Two nights? Take one of each, with the EverLine between them.

Questions visitors ask

Which base is better from Incheon Airport?

Giheung and the Korean Folk Village. The A8877 runs there by day via Gwanggyo Central Station, Heungdeok District and Singal Ogeori (Folk Village site; VisitKorea, 2025), and the late-night N8877 leaves Terminal 1 at 00:30 and 04:10 and reaches the village in 70 minutes (airport.kr). For Everland, you continue by bus, the Suin-Bundang Line and the EverLine.

Can I do both parks from one base?

Yes, by the EverLine. From the Folk Village, take bus 37 or 10-5 to Sanggal Station, the Suin-Bundang Line to Giheung and the EverLine to Jeondae Everland Station, about 30 minutes for the whole line by Gyeonggi Province's 2013 figure, then the free shuttle. Both parks open at 10:00, so two nights, one by each gate, give each a full day.

Which is better for an evening visit?

Both stay open late on their long days. VisitKorea's place page lists the Folk Village until 22:00 on Fridays and at weekends, against 18:00 from Monday to Thursday, and VisitKorea's 2026 guide gives Everland's hours as 10:00–22:00. Stay by the park you are visiting and the late finish is a short trip back.
