The short answer

Stay in Songdo for the modern face of Incheon. KTO calls it a man-made island that presents a futuristic image, and its 2024 guide a city of the future, with skyscrapers by lakes and green space. At its centre is Songdo Central Park, which KTO calls the first seawater park in the nation: a 46.3 ha rectangle with a seawater canal of about 1.8 km, water taxis and canoes, and about an hour and a half to walk around, by KTO's 2023 figure. The G-Tower's 33rd-floor observatory looks out to Incheon Bridge.

Songdo is also Incheon's convention base: Songdo ConvensiA, opened in 2008, is in KTO's words the ideal venue for MICE. Central Park Station is on Incheon Subway Line 1, which links to the Airport Railroad at Gyeyang and to Seoul Subway Line 1 at Bupyeong, and Incheon Bridge, about 21 km long since October 2009, runs across to Yeongjong. Songdo Moonlight Festival Park, at the southern end of Line 1, hosted the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival from 31 July to 2 August 2026.
