Uiamho Lake & Samaksan
의암호·삼악산
Chuncheon on the water: the Samaksan cable car, a glass skywalk and LEGOLAND on Jungdo.

The short answer
Stay on the Uiamho side of Chuncheon for the lake itself. The Samaksan Lake Cable Car crosses Uiamho Lake from Samcheon-dong to Samaksan Mountain on a 3.61 km line, which VisitKorea calls the longest cable car in Korea, with 66 cabins, 20 of them Crystal Cabins. The Uiamho Lake Skywalk is set along the lakeside trail with a floor made entirely of transparent glass, and guided canoe trips on the Bukhangang River explain the lake's nature, history and culture.
For families, LEGOLAND Korea Resort is the draw. It officially opened on Children's Day, 5 May 2022, on Jungdo island, and VisitKorea's 2026 guide places it by Uiamho Lake; VisitKorea calls it the tenth LEGOLAND Resort worldwide, with around 40 rides and attractions. Without a car, the park's free shuttle runs every hour from Exit 1 of Chuncheon Station. South of the city, Kim You Jeong Literary Village and Gangchon Rail Park make a second day.
