Myeongdong
명동
A central base for shopping and first city walks.

Station reference pointsMyeongdong / Euljiro 1-ga
Get to know the area
Myeongdong brings shopping streets, department stores and dining into a compact central district. It is a useful area to compare when your plans include the older city centre and you want errands between sightseeing stops. Choose the actual accommodation entrance, not simply a listing labelled Myeongdong: properties on different sides of the district can have different station approaches.
Why choose this base?
Consider this area if shopping, central-city sightseeing and a straightforward first neighbourhood walk are priorities. Compare the route to your own planned destinations before treating central as convenient for every day of the trip.
Before you choose a room
- Ask which street the room faces and check recent property-specific information if quiet evenings matter.
- Confirm the full station-to-door route, including crossings, gradients and any stairs, with luggage in mind.
- A busy shopping location does not establish a hotel's lift access, reception hours or room size.
Arriving with your bags
Keep the Korean street address and building name available offline. Compare airport transport against the exact accommodation address, then confirm your final station exit or vehicle drop-off with the property.
Places to explore
- Myeongdong shopping streets
- Myeongdong Cathedral
- Namdaemun Market
These are places to consider in the area or wider district, not measured walking distances from a particular property.
